Beginning on X.18 firmware version, it is possible to create tandem 2 KKO cards.
Conception of cooperation is showed in document conception
and in document rules of cooperation.
There are following main features of such solution:
- The tandem is used in order to extend capacity of the conference in KKO system.
- The tandem consists of 2 KKO cards in hardware version 3.
- Special voice connection/link is established on 1 PCM channel betwen both cards;
it makes possible to hear all parties on both cards each other.
- For this reason, summary capacity of extended conference is maximum 118 parties.
- After configuring both cards (configuration rules) a link
between both cards establishes automatically.
- A card - initiator of the link is called Master, whilst a card - cooperating is called Slave.
- Beginning from kClient X.18 version, the software makes possible to manage both linked
cards from one platform - one kClient application.
- Only conference no 1 is expandable, two conferences no 2 (on both cards) are local and they can
be used locally only.
- In the first (big) conference, both cards are inspected and status both of them is showed
together (like in common big conference).
- All subscribers, entering into conference themselves, are able to select prefix into
first or second card (first conference on Master or first conference on Slave) but independently
on this fact, they enter into one common conference and they are showed in one window.
- In case of parties called by KKO cards, all calls are distributed by both cards alternately.
So, number of used channels on both cards is more or less the same.
- If first card is full, next calls will be generated on second card as long as it is free.
- Such rule is valid for calls generated from a list in kClient or as a member of local group.
- Subscribers, members of predefined group are called by KKO - Master card only.
