Introduction

Conception of "hunting", "hare" and hunter.

The "Hunting" (race, competition) is a feature serviced by the KKO card but without using conference's device. This function lies in the fact that you are able to call local or predefined group or some single subscribers into common calling and next into one connection point-to-point with one selected subscriber (the hunter). The first called subscriber which pick it up (the hare) goes into talk with the hunter whilst the rest of called participants are rejected. Such phone call lasts as long as hunter or hare not hung it up or "end of hunting" command not happen. There are up to 9 simultaneous hunting of the KKO card. In order to editing of hunting the dispatcher has to select hunting number. If number hunting is not selected, it will possible to watch all huntings only.

• The hare (contestant,searched subscriber) is a subscriber of a exchange called into hunting service. It is possible to call him as a group participant or as a single subscriber. Many hares may be called into hunting. All the hares are called (like into conference) as long as one of them (the first) is picks it up. In this moment such subscriber becames active user in hunting services (the hare) and the rest of called subscribers are rejected. If the hare is in talk status before the hunter, he hears proper announcement (context no 16) and waits for a partner. If the hunter is in talk before the hare, he waits for a second party with an announcement.
• The hunter (leader, searching subscriber) is a subscriber of a exchange called into hunting service. Only one hunter can participate in hunting service. It is possible to call him with a group or as a single party. The hunter waits for the first active subscriber (picked up) from hare's group. If the hunter is in talk before the hare he waits for his party with an announcement context 16.

Rules of hunting calling

There are three modes of hunting calling in the KKO card:

• Calling from kClient software as a single suscribers. Like in a conference, you are able to call a subscriber with local or predefined group, from local database or with a unique directory numbers. It is possible to call any subscribers in any order. There is required to declare which subscriber is a hunter in given hunting only. Proper buttons in hunting sheet in kClient software make possible to call (or to remove) a participant to (and from) a hunting service in proper mode. The first subscriber in speech state waits for co-party with an announcement.
• Calling a predefined group via kClient software. In order to call a predefined group you have to point out (by checking on left database list) which subscriber - participant of database - will be called as a hunter. If such subscriber is not pointed out, it is possible to call the group without a leader but the hunter must be called manually later. In normal case, if the hunter is pointed out with a group, the KKO card called the hunter firstly, and when he pick the call up, selected group is called next. This mode is the most natural because the hunter is in talking state at calling the group moment and he wait for first hare.
• Calling the group into hunting by phone. It is possible to set hunting service with a predefined group via phone. In this case, subscriber-initiator becames a hunter automatically and waits for a hare as a participant of a group.

Hunting icons description

There are two groups of icons connected with subscriber's states for the hare and the hunter. All "hares" are called by the KKO as a subscriber with a number (it is not possible to enter a hare himself) so, number presentation is always possible. There are following states:

	Talking state for hare. The subscriber picks up the call as a hare and he waits for hunter party (an announcement) or he is already in talking state.
	Calling state for hare. This icon means that the subscriber is called. He is a participant of the group, called for talking with hunter purpose.
	Disconnection state. This subscriber was called into hunting service and wasn't pick it up or he was late (only the first subscriber becomes a hare).

There are only 2 icons for a hunter in hunting service:

	Calling state for hunter. This icon means that this subscriber is called as a hunter. This is state for a hunter called by the KKO card only.
	Talking state for hunter. This hunter is in speech state in hunting or he waits for a hare with an announcement. This icon is valid both for subscribers called by the KKO card and for calling hunting service himself.

Hunting setting

Calling a single subscriber by the kClient software:

• The dispatcher selects subscriber's checkbox and presses the
or . It means that he inserts the subscriber in hare or hunter mode.
• If the subscriber isn't in the database, you have to write his directory number in the editting window and press the
or button.
• In the conference window (the right hand side of the window) you will see the icon as the command executing confirmation. or
• After answering for both party, they go into talking state and the icons transformate into: or
• You can call some subscribers from the database list (the left hand side of the window) at the same time

Calling a hunting by phone:

• The subscriber seizures PCM channel on KKO route.
• Announcement "Get your password" is emitted (if a password required option is switched on).
• The subscriber enters the password by means of DTMF tones (1 to 5 digits)
• The announcement "Enter command code" is emitted.
• The subscriber enters code '*'.
• The announcement "Enter number of predefined group" is emitted.
• The subscriber enters number of the group.
• Subscriber-initiaitor enters into hunting as a hunter whilst the group is called in hare mode.

Calling a group by the kClient software:

• Dispatcher selects the local group by button and predefined group by button
• The group is called in hare mode always. If common call with a hunter is required, dispatcher have to select him by checkig check box in database list before group button.
• If not, the following warning window will appear on the screen. It this window is confirmed with "Yes", the group will be called without the leader. He has to called later. If this window is confirmed with "No", the calling will be cancelled.

• Next, another participants of the group are called.
• After picking up of the first hare, the call for rest hare's group is interrupted.
• Predefined group is saved in the nonvolatile hardware memory on the KKO card.
• If the hunter is called with predefined group together, firstly he will be called and next, after pick he up this connection proper group will be called.
• If the hunter is called with local group together, all participants will be called simoultaneously.

Database filtering.

• There is hunting filtering choice list in this window:





• It is required to choice hunting number in order to editing the hunting.
• If you select "All huntings" option, all existing huntings will be displayed. But it is impossible to call next participants or skip them with popup menu. Everything that you can, is to close all exixting huntings but this option is available for users with "Administrator" or "Supervisor" access level only.
