kClient HTML Help: KKO CARD INSTALLATION - HARDWARE VERSION OF THE CARD

List of necessary steps in order to configure KKO system properly:

  1. Type of the card selection: KKOv2/KKOv3
  2. COM port selection (in case of KKOv2)
  3. IP port searching (in case of KKOv3)
  4. Configuration procedure for tandem 2xKKOv3

KKO card - hardware versions

The KKO card in hardware version KKOv2 includes RS232 interface. The KKO card in hardware version KKOv3 includes network interface Xport by Lantronix (TM).
The firmware and software is universal and it maintenance both types of the cards. It is required to select proper interface (RS or IP) in order to set up proper communication rule.

An selection is executed in main window of kClient software :

For version 2 you have to select number of COM port:

However for version 3 it is possible to select port number and IP address:

In order to define kind of the card, it is necessary to run following steps:

  1. To select user level "Administrator" or "Supervisor".
  2. To insert a password (after installation, all passwords are empty).
  3. To check RS-232 checkbox for KKOv2.
  4. To uncheck this box for KKOv3 card.
  5. In case of KKOv2 to select COM port number.
  6. In case of KKOv3 it is necessary to run autodetection procedure for IP address.
